Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) has partnered with the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio to bring four traveling exhibits to its campuses this fall.

The exhibits—Introductory, Intermediate, Times of Betrayal and Defiance, and Seeking Justice: The Real Nazi Hunters—offer students, faculty, staff, and community members an opportunity to gain meaningful education and perspective on the Holocaust.

Featured Exhibits:

Times of Betrayal & Defiance: Following Nazi occupation, the Jewish population in France lost their homes, businesses, and freedom. This exhibit tells the story of one man who risked his life to help his Jewish employers, only to be betrayed by those closest to him.

Seeking Justice: The Real Nazi Hunters: While many Nazis were prosecuted at the Nuremberg Trials, some escaped justice. This exhibit highlights the heroic real-life efforts of those who dedicated their lives to tracking down Nazi war criminals.

In addition, visitors will explore essential questions such as: What led to the Holocaust? How did Nazi policies divide society? What were the Nuremberg Trials? What was the process of liberation and rebuilding like?

Exhibit Schedule:

The exhibits rotate across TVCC campuses to ensure all students, faculty, staff, and community members have the opportunity to engage with them:

  • Sept. 8–19 – Terrell Campus, Learning Resource Center/Library
  • Sept. 22–Oct. 3 – Kaufman Campus, Room 232 (second floor)
  • Oct. 6–17 – Palestine Campus, Anderson Building hallway
  • Oct. 20–30 – Athens Campus, Administration & Gibbs Academic Building.

The exhibits are open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

“Trinity Valley Community College is honored to partner with the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio to bring these important exhibits to our campuses,” said Dr. Jason Morrison, President of TVCC. “The Holocaust is one of history’s darkest chapters, and it is vital that we continue to educate our students and community about its lessons. By engaging with these exhibits, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the consequences of hatred and the importance of standing for justice, tolerance, and humanity.”

The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio opened in 2000 and remains the only institution of its kind in South Texas. The museum is dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of hatred, prejudice, and apathy by teaching the history of the Holocaust and honoring the memory of its victims. For more than 40 years, Holocaust education has been a priority in the San Antonio Jewish community. Since then, the museum has welcomed thousands of visitors annually, offering docent-led tours, survivor testimonies, educational films, and intergenerational programs. Its mission is to connect the lessons of the Holocaust to present and future generations, fostering empathy, knowledge, and a commitment to justice.
