Eagle enthusiasts are invited to bring cameras and binoculars for the Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey taking place on Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork from January 9 – 11. Findings are reported to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Lake Tawakoni event takes place from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on January 9 at the state park office, 10822 FM 2475, Wills Point.
The Lake Fork survey is held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on January 10 and 11 at the Lake Fork Marina, 275 Co Rd 1558, Alba. Some enjoy meeting early for breakfast at the marina and sharing eagle stories.
Check-in time for all three days is 7:15 a.m.
