The Rush Herrington Memorial Rodeo returns to the Anderson County Youth Livestock Pavilion on October 24 & 25, 2025, for two exciting nights of rodeo action, live music, and family-friendly fun.

The event honors the legacy of Rush Herrington, a respected East Texas cowboy, PRCA Gold Card holder, 1974 Houston Rodeo Steer Wrestling Champion, and 1974 National Finals Rodeo qualifier. A lifelong supporter of rodeo and youth programs, Herrington left a lasting impact on the sport and the community. Proceeds from the event help fund arena improvements and support future events.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. each evening, with Mutton Bustin’ at 6:00 p.m. and rodeo event starting at 7:00 p.m. Live music follows the rodeo each night—Kenny McCann performs Friday, and David Adam Byrnes takes the stage Saturday.

In addition to classic rodeo events like bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling, families can enjoy live carousel pony rides and a performance by the Texas Spirit Riders.

Food and drinks will be available on-site, and the event is designed for all ages to enjoy.

Advance tickets are $20 and include full access to the rodeo and live music. Seniors can purchase tickets at the gate for $15. For VIP and box seating, contact Lauri Herrington Turner at 903-216-4463 or larrywturner1005@gmail.com.

Tickets are available now on Eventbrite.
